Söring ultrasonic surgical system
LEVICS, HEPACCS and the Ultrasonic Unit
Söring, based in Quickborn, Germany, specialises in ultrasonic tissue resection and ablation. Its new ultrasonic surgical system combines the LEVICS instruments with the Ultrasonic Unit for neurosurgery and spine surgery: tumour fragmentation and aspiration in neurosurgery, and controlled bone preparation near critical structures in spine surgery. The HEPACCS instrument works with the same Ultrasonic Unit for open and laparoscopic liver surgery.

LEVICS instrument
A lightweight, well-balanced instrument whose slim, angled body keeps the surgical field in view. The LEVICS instrument fragments and aspirates tumour tissue; the LEVICS bone instrument is designed for bone preparation in spine surgery. Spray formation is minimal for a clear view.
Sonotrodes
Sterile single-use sonotrodes with flues in working lengths from 36 to 108 mm and different diameters and tips – standard, notched and bevelled – plus knife and rasp sonotrodes for cutting and removing bone.
HEPACCS – liver surgery
A lightweight, well-balanced ultrasonic instrument for open and laparoscopic liver resection. The HF version adds a fully integrated monopolar HF function, connected directly to the HF generator. Sterile single-use sonotrodes are available for open surgery and, at 312 mm, for laparoscopy through 5 mm trocars.
Ultrasonic Unit
A touch display with tissue-specific modes (four for neurosurgery, one for spine, three for liver surgery), an Effect-Control dial and a Safety Level that reduces all settings and can also be switched on from the wireless foot switch. Quiet aspiration pump, tubing cassette with automated preparation and saved user settings.
